N. Eda Erçin is a performer/researcher of contemporary performance practices teaching and
directing in the Department of Communication Studies at Louisiana State University where
she manages the HopKins Black Box performance laboratory. She holds a Ph.D. degree in
Performance Practice from the Department of Drama at the University of Exeter. Her
ongoing training, performance research and teaching practice specialize in the somatic,
phenomenological and autoethnographic explorations of body, voice, culture, gender, ethnicity, and language.
